Rob's lifelong passion for music drives a new chapter in an already accomplished creative career. A former screenwriter and longtime novelist published by major houses, and an AMPAS Gold Alumnus as well as a recipient of the AMPAS Nicholl Fellowship, Rob brings the same narrative depth, emotional intelligence, and finely tuned sense of rhythm that have defined his literary work into the world of songwriting.While words have always been his tools, music has always been his language. Every lyric he writes carries the weight of experience—the kind that can’t be faked, rushed, or manufactured. His songs blend vivid storytelling with melodic instinct, creating emotionally charged, relatable pieces that resonate with both listeners and performers.Having spent years crafting character, dialogue, and emotional arc on the page, Rob approaches songwriting with a screenwriter’s sense of scene and a novelist’s command of subtext. The result is music that connects, whether through a heartbreak ballad, a road-worn anthem, or a quiet moment of reflection.Now, Rob is channeling his creative maturity into songs meant to be lived and sung by others—songs that feel instantly familiar, even on first listen. Currently concentrating on country music, he also draws on an extensive background across genres, including pop, rock, musical theatre (his original musical earned high praise), and hybrid orchestral works, blending these influences to craft a distinctive, deeply human sound.
